Q. Where are the restrooms in Virginia City & Nevada City?
A. A fully handicapped public restroom is located in the city gymnasium directly behind the Roadmaster Grille. Other public restrooms can be found at the Virginia City Depot and Nevada City Museum behind the Star Bakery.
Q. Where is the nearest public telephone?
A. Since cell phones do not work in Virginia City, this is a frequent question from visitors. There is a pay phone between the Pioneer Bar and Virginia City Cafe, and another one in Nevada City in front of the Nevada City Hotel.
Q. What is the Nevada City Museum?
A. The Nevada City Museum is an open air museum made up of a collection of historic buildings. There are about 15 buildings original to their sites since the 1860s and the rest were moved in from various locations in Montana in an attempt to save the heritage of our state. You can purchase a 2-day pass to visit the town for $8, youth 6-16 $6, 5 & under free.
