Living History

The Nevada City Museum has living history interpreters every Saturday & Sunday in the summer.  This ghost town comes alive with interpreters who relive past events during the gold rush era.  You can walk among them, engage with them and experience life during the 1860s.  If you would like to volunteer in the living history program contact us.

As we navigate the fluctuating world of COVID-19, our normal themed weekends are currently discontinued. However, many of our Living History interpreters are on-site every weekend to bring Montana’s history to life depending on availability and weather.  Through engaging activities, informative presentations, and demonstrations of the era, the Nevada City Living History Museum is active, open, and maintaining social distancing as much as pioneers can.

Living History schedules are posted on our Facebook page every week. Activities change weekly, depending on weather and volunteer availability. Follow and like us on Facebook at
